Corrections Policy

Our commitment to accuracy means owning our mistakes, transparently, promptly, and clearly.

1. Commitment to Accuracy

NexcoinPR is committed to publishing accurate, fair, and reliable editorial and news content. We apply editorial standards to all content produced by our editorial team, including fact-checking, source verification, and editorial review prior to publication.

Yet, despite these efforts, errors can occur. We take all factual errors seriously and are committed to correcting them promptly, transparently, and in a way that clearly informs readers of what was changed and why.

Transparency in corrections is a pillar of editorial integrity. We do not silently amend published articles. Where a factual error has been corrected, we note the correction clearly within the article itself.

2. How to Report an Error

If you believe you have identified a factual error in content published on NexcoinPR, we encourage you to report it to our editorial team. We welcome corrections from readers, industry professionals, and the subjects of our coverage.

To report an error, please email our editorial team at:

Email: nexcoinpr@gmail.com

Subject line: Corrections Request: [Article Title or URL]

We treat all corrections requests seriously and will review every submission. Submitting a corrections request does not guarantee that a correction will be made; our editorial team will assess each case based on the evidence provided.

3. What to Include in a Corrections Request

To help us investigate your corrections request efficiently, please include the following information:

  • URL or title of the article or content containing the alleged error.
  • The specific claim you believe to be inaccurate, including a direct quote from the article where possible.
  • The correction you believe is appropriate, including what the correct information should be.
  • Evidence or sources supporting your correction, such as links to official documents, reports, or credible third-party sources.
  • Your name and contact email (optional, but helpful if we need to follow up).

We are not able to process vague or unsupported corrections requests. All requests must relate to verifiable factual claims rather than matters of opinion, editorial judgement, or analysis.

4. How Corrections Are Handled

Our editorial team reviews all corrections requests and investigates each case. Our approach varies depending on the nature and severity of the error:

1

Minor Factual Errors

Minor errors, such as an incorrect date, a misspelled name, an outdated figure, or a small typographical error that affects meaning, are corrected directly within the article text. A brief inline correction note is added at the point of correction or at the bottom of the article, indicating what was changed and when.

2

Major Factual Errors

Where a more sizeable error has been identified, such as a materially incorrect claim, a greatly misrepresented finding, or a serious misattribution, a clearly formatted correction notice is added to the top or bottom of the article. The correction notice explains what the original article stated, what the correct information is, and the date the correction was made.

3

Content Retraction

In rare cases where an article is found to be so greatly inaccurate or misleading that correction alone is insufficient to make the content fair and accurate, we may retract the article in its entirety. A retraction notice will replace the article, explaining why the content has been removed.

4

Factual Inaccuracies in Press Releases

Press releases published on NexcoinPR are submitted by companies and are the sole responsibility of the submitting organisation. Where a factual inaccuracy is reported in a press release, we will forward the report to the submitting company. We may add an editorial note to the press release to flag the disputed claim, but we cannot alter the text of a press release submitted by a third party.

5. Timeframes

We aim to handle corrections requests according to the following timeframes:

  • Acknowledgement: All corrections requests will be acknowledged within two business days of receipt.
  • Investigation: Our editorial team will investigate the reported error within five business days of acknowledgement.
  • Minor corrections: Where a minor error is confirmed, the correction will typically be published within one to two business days of the investigation being completed.
  • Major corrections: Major corrections may require additional editorial review and will typically be published within five business days of the investigation being completed.

These timeframes are targets and may vary depending on the intricacy of the correction or the volume of requests received.

6. Correction Notation Format

Where a factual error has been corrected in editorial content, we use the following notation format to ensure transparency:

For minor inline corrections:

Updated: [Date], Correction: [Brief description of what was changed and what the correct information is.]

For major corrections (added at the top of the article):

Correction notice, Updated [Date]: An earlier version of this article stated [original claim]. This has been corrected to [accurate information]. We apologise for the error.

We do not delete or silently edit published articles to remove errors without documenting the change. This ensures that readers who encountered the original version are informed of the correction.

7. Press Releases and Commercial Content

Press releases published on NexcoinPR are submitted by companies and represent the views and claims of those companies. NexcoinPR does not independently verify the factual claims within press releases.

If you believe a press release contains false or misleading information, you should contact both NexcoinPR's editorial team at nexcoinpr@gmail.com and the submitting company directly.

NexcoinPR may add an editorial note to a press release if a specific claim has been widely disputed by credible sources, but we will not alter, edit, or remove a press release at the request of a third party unless required to do so by law or where the content violates our content policies.

Sponsored content and partner content are the responsibility of the respective commercial partner. Corrections or disputes regarding such content should be directed to the commercial partner in the first instance, with a copy to nexcoinpr@gmail.com.

8. What NexcoinPR Will Not Correct

Our corrections policy applies to verifiable factual errors in editorial and news content. We will not process corrections requests that ask us to change the following:

  • Opinions and editorial analysis: Where content reflects editorial opinion, analysis, or commentary rather than a statement of fact, this is not subject to correction under this policy. Opinions are inherently subjective and may reasonably differ.
  • Editorial judgements: Decisions about which topics to cover, how to frame a story, which sources to cite, or how to contextualise information are matters of editorial judgement and are not subject to corrections requests.
  • Content you disagree with: Disagreeing with a conclusion, analysis, or editorial perspective does not constitute a factual error. We do not alter or retract editorial content simply because a subject, company, or reader disagrees with it.
  • Legal demands without due process: We do not alter, remove, or retract content solely on the basis of a legal threat. Legal matters will be referred to appropriate legal counsel.
